Allen & Heath

Allen & Heath was in the vanguard of the first wave of great British mixer companies, starting life at the heart of London’s swinging music scene in 1969. In those early days Allen & Heath hand built mixers for the top bands of the era, including Genesis, Pink Floyd and The Who.

CAD Audio

CAD Audio originally took shape as the Astatic Corporation in 1931. Etymotic Research

Etymotic is a world leader in development of technology addressing hearing health since 1983. With a basis in the scientific research conducted on auditory ear canal response, Etymotic invented the first insert earphone, the ER4. The ER4 is still a benchmark in In-Ear-Monitor (IEM) development as it was scientifically designed to be a truly accurate earphone.

Kurzweil Music Systems was founded in 1982 by Ray Kurzweil, who was inspired by Stevie Wonder after having collaborated on a reading machine for the blind. Modal Electronics

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Bristol, UK, Modal Electronics is redefining modern synthesiser technology for musicians, producers and performers. Guided by the philosophy to create “Machines for Musicians,” Modal Electronics combines sophisticated analogue and digital circuitry in their products. Nord

In 1983 founder Hans Nordelius created the Digital Percussion Plate 1 – the first drum pad allowing for dynamic playing using sampled sounds. The DPP1 was an instant success and soon thereafter the brand name ddrum was introduced. In 1995 Clavia released its first synthesizer, the Nord Lead. Its unique take on emulation of analog synthesis, combining a distinctive sound with an intuitive user interface made it an instant classic. Magnus Kjellander joined Clavia in 1996 and brought with him a new approach to the company in terms of software design. We’ve come a long way from the little basement workshop we started out in back in 1983 – a journey fueled by curiosity, persistence, dedication and love for music!
